The oil cooler came in. The nice part is that there was a brackets included, something easy enough to fabricate, but nice to have something to start with. Also the cooler is in great shape, no bent fins or anything weird. So overall, I am very satisfied.

Being broke ain't no joke, but in the end, you get more creative with the little cash you got. Or in my case I got a killer deal. Setrab oil cooler (PN 634 -8an) for 19.50 plus shipping. Thats over $290 in savings. Sweet deal for the price is way of an understatement. This is best deal I've gotten in a long long time. Just goes to show that just because you don't have money, you can't find a great deal out there somewhere.

Got my ass to work today on the subframe. Started off with disconnecting all the links and stirpping the subframe bare. Than the crazy idea came to actually go ahead and sandblast it and paint it. The sandblasting is a very messy process, as with something as big as a subframe you can't just put into a regular cabinet, so the media is only used once. But local Menards has a 20lbs bag for 6bux, so its not all that bad. Cheap Harbor freight sandblasting gun and I was good to go. Did about half of it in about 2hrs and than the sun went down, so I was pretty much done for the day. Will finish up the blasting and painting next weekend. So far I used up about one 20lbs bag, so Im hoping the second one I got will be enough for the rest. Biggest drawback to this project is the size of the gun. I had to stop and refill it every few minutes, kinda annoying, but it did give my compressor a chance to catch up with the air supply.

This weekend was fun. DD14 was at Autobahn Country club, and it was suprisingly nice out. Got to hang out with people I haven't seen almost all winter and have general good time. I've tried out few seats and it looks like Buddy Club seat that Eddie had fit me the best so far.

Looking around for a nice oil cooler to mount, but still trying not to break the budget. Everything is around 150bux, but I also am wondering about the size and how big is too big.
So far I'm thinking of getting the B&M BMM-70266 or Earl's EAR-42510ERL or EAR-41910ERL coolers.

Friday was a fun day. Started off with driving the future mom-in-law to church, quick bite to eat and off to meet Vinny. We were hanging out for a while and Rayn stopped by. More hanging out and shooting the shit. Than a trip to Matt's place, dropped off the ECU, checked out the Megasquirt and cool backfire, forgot to take back my portable hdd, but managed to get the timing done on the S14a. Than on the way back stop by Pauls place and buy the steering shaft bushing for the S13, as apparently Paul find out, S14 don't have one like the S13's. His loss is my gain. Yay! More hanging out and shooting the shit. At 11PM it was time to go back home and try to fix the computer... too bad it still don't work right.
Need to start ordering stuff little by little, season is almost starting Grrrrr.

This weekend, with the subframe off the car, Eric and Kelli stopped by to help me out with the solid subframe bushing install. It went fairly smoothly with the only issue we had was getting the bushing at an angle and it took a little convincing to finally go in straight. But after putting in a few, the process was fairly easy to repeat.
