Talked to Phase2 guys. It looks like my motor will come from them. Shipping is a big pain in the ass, but hopefully it will go smoothly.
Air filter arrived. So thats something. I will have to order the senders ASAP, now that the motor is not too far behind.

Fitting the harness onto the car was easy enough, now I just need an engine inside to worry about. This weekend I won't be doing anything, as there is some extra side jobs to do, Mike is busy, and all the suspension parts aren't here yet. Although a extra set of S13 LCA's would make it really easy on me.

HKS turbo timer harness arrived in the mail today. A nice present for the turkey day. Hopefully by next week I will have the hardware I need to finish the suspension.
I got to call Friday around for the welding cable to do the battery relocation to the trunk. I think 20 feet will be more than enough.

Apparently the ball joints came in long time ago. Too bad the UPS didn't leave a notice for every package, so I had to go and pick them up today. I also ordered the emergency pads for the Z32 rears and the ball joint seat.

Some real progress in the brake department. The Z brakes are apart, S14 spindles are almost ready to go, just need the dust shields removed; the Z rotors went to get turned, and hopefully will be done today or tomorrow. The Z axles didn't come out of the upright, so they went to the shop and will be disassembled there, and it looks like the emergency brake from the 300zx will need new pads. The car is still standing on the old suspension and we won't be taking off any parts untill the ball joint/strut bolts are good to go. The rear will need new 300zx struts, as the mounting is different than stock 240sx. I did forget to work on the fuel pump, but that can be done easily next weekend.
On the side note, I need to order the shoes for ebrake, I will go with the steel uprights for now, but save the aluminum ones for when I am doing the coilovers, that way I can upgrade those as well.
I found something that saved my skin on the SCC's site and here it is; "There are two options here. Either switch to a twin-turbo rear shock, or ditch the aluminum. The Z brakes can be used with a 240SX steel upright. Simply unbolt the rear hub (four big bolts on the back of the upright) and the drum parking brake (one giant nylock nut) and bolt them to the 240SX upright. Using the steel upright adds 7 lbs of unsprung weight per side."
This basically saves me from buying a 300zx strut that will be in the car for short time, as I go upgrading the suspension pieces. Making me a happy man.

Friday I picked up my Optima battery, and Saturday I received my brake pads. Today Mike should stop over and help me work on the suspension. Since the ball joints didn't come in, or the bolts for the struts, I will have to settle for the rear only. At least till the parts come in.
I have been thinking about the legal aspect of driving my sileighty on the street, and I know that I don't want to pay a ticket for no seatbelts, so I will have to come up with some money for the roll cage, as well as ordering the RCI belts from Summit or JEG's. Depends where I can get away with paying less. I am going with the 5 point, 3 inch wide cam lock ones. I just got to check the emails, as one vendor has free shipping. So that will save a few bucks too.

Got some packages in the mail and picked some more up from UPS. Got my stainless steel brake lines as well as the silicone hose adapter and got some stuff for my friend too. I'm sure more will be coming in before the weekend.

First weekend day free in long time. I will be taking apart another 240sx that a friend of mine has.
I also came across pretty good info about 5lug swap, Z32 brakes and other S13 tips on Sillbeer.com site. Its really worth looking at.

Yesterday I ordered suspension pieces from Midway, dual filter relocation kit from JEG's and today I got the other reducer for the hot pipe. UPS man hates me, as he can't leave anything on the door step anymore, cuz all the parts are being picked up at the terminal, because its close to my work and I will be picking them up pretty frequently from now on.

Adding Optima battery and S14 ball joints to the list of ordered parts. And another weekend that is going to pass without me doing anything on the car. The old job became a weekend-only job, so I will get my ass in gear next week when all of the parts will come in. Still need the lower strut bolts and conical ball joint seats. So I got to give Midway a call again.

Some more parts are on the way, or will be after today. Lines and pads to be exact. I guess I should go and order the ball joints as well. Too bad the website isn't working.

Not much more progress, besides getting all my stuff paid for. But with the new job, I will have free weekends, so more stuff is going to get done. Monday I will be ordering some brake lines and brake pads for the calipers, but untill than, I am just planning the next weekend. Hopefully the parts will be in, which will let me put on the rear suspension on. I still need the ball joints and strut bolts for the front, both of which will be also ordered on Monday. After the whole new parts are on, cutting rotors and bleeding the breaks will be the easy part.
