I got the oil sandwich kit working with a help of a buddy. But instead of using the oil filter from SR20DE Sentra or G20, I have it using one from 98 S10 with 4.6L Vortec engine. It is a lot taller, so I don't know how well it will fit the motor is going to be in the chassis. But there are couple different ones to choose from as far as the length of the filter, so getting one to fit shouldn't be a big issue.

Yesterday was a busy day. Got all the tags and smogged the car. Some of us are lucky enough to have their car "too low" for the dyno test because of the 4in drop AND the bumper hanging lower than stock. They don't want to mess it up so it just idled and passed. Second time my car got away from them, HA!
Later on, I got to play with some serious tools, while working on my steering wheel spacer/adapter. Took us couple of hours farting around Lewe's garage to get it done, but it was pretty fun. The drill press is pretty easy to operate, but the lathe was a whole new experience for me. Pretty cool too, got the part looking really nice and shiny and deburred the edges. Sure beat using a manual file! I fitted the steering wheel today and it fits awesome. One less thing to worry about.
The fuel pump is making me mad. The seller is a deadbeat, looks like I am not the only one who bought the pump from him for the S13. None of us got it. I give it a week more and than disputing the charge with the credit card company.

Finally was able to find the offset of the stock wheels online. and the good thing is that I can use my old rims as they are dual bolt pattern. So I have rims to beat around in. Sweet!! The hunt for the oil kit isn't going too well, so I will have to be forced to put in on the back burner.
Besides that, nothing exciting is going on, but I do want to order all the sensors needed by this weekend. Battery will wait, as there is no need for me to have it just yet. I will also start getting all the misc. parts that I will need like hoses/filter/fluids next weekend.

Today the water pump showed up. It looks awesome. Wish I could have the motor in already, but that is going to take some more time. I will be picking up a engine stand this weekend from a buddy of mine, he found it behind a shed in his new house and he doesn't need it, so he lets me have it.

The package from Enjuku Racing came in, which means that I am now a proud owner of a HKS SSQV BOV and the hotpipe. I was thinking about getting just the pipe and welding on the bung at local shop, but I am very pleased with the quality. Especially the welds, they look like someone has done a nice job on it. If you are considering getting this, by all means GO FOR IT. The workmanship is great.
I should be receiving the water pump on the 24nd, as it has been shipped out. I am amazed how quickly now all the parts are arriving. I am very glad that I took the time and looked into all this stuff.
As far as the radiator goes, I will have to have some free time to see if the Griffin one will work. Koyo has have had some complaints about its quality, so I am not so sure I want to go that route. But the stock KA radiator will work for time being.

VDO Oil Pressure gauge arrived today. That leaves me with 1 more gauge to get as the boost is on its way. I really want EGT, but its $122, so it will have to wait.

Found some good info on the bleeding the lifters here. Since it involves taking off quite a few pieces, I would suggest getting the valve cover gasket kit at the same time.
Found VDO Boost gauge and for mere $17 its mine, Mine, MINE!!!!! Muahahahaahaaha!!!! OK, seriously, it made my day. Its so nice to have the parts coming in at a steady pace. By the looks of it, I totally forgot to mention that I was able to get a SR20 Water pump for $83shipped. Sweeet!!! The rest of the check has to go to the almost-never-increasing motor account. At least thats what I keep telling myself.
And of course, what late night search would be complete without a good part search. The Koyo radiator is the only one thats reasonably priced that is A. Aluminum, B. 2-row, C. Doesn't cost me a arm and a leg. So I found out that guys were using Griffin Radiators. But no one actually said which one, so my search continues.
Sideviewcivic helped me out with the dual oil filter kit questions I had and pointed me to this, which is the one he used and it works. So big thanks go out to him, as I will be getting that in as soon as I need to replace the filter. Probably will do a DIY about it as well.

Found out that the fuel pump is on backorder. And I am considering canceling my order and trying with someone else. They said that they should be in next week, but if I don't have tracking number by Wed. I will go ahead and cancel.

The Flex A Lite sandwich adapter that I got from eBay turns out to be the wrong one. The guy send me PN3922, I bid on PN3924, but I really need PN3921. So I got option of getting the PN3924 for free or get my money back and still keep the PN3922. I don't know what to do. Will call Flex A Lite tomorrow to see if I can get the right thread size adapter. 3/4-16 and not the 13/16-16 that I thought it was (even tho my notes say 3/4).
The good news for the day is the Greddy oil pan. Got the new drain plug (12x1.75). Of course the Greddy didn't use the 1/8NPT for the sender, but some screwy thread size, so the NPT senders won't fit. Had to tap those too. My next choice was the 1/4 NPT sender from VDO. But the price is just shy of $20. I think if I use the 1/4 NPT to 1/8 NPT adapter that came with the Autometer gauge it COULD work. Worth a shot. Most important thing is that the pan is tapped, ready to be bolted on. Now I need a gasket. And the belts too. Big thanks go out to Lewe "The Machine Shop" and Gary "The encyclopedia" for helping me out. Those two probably forgot more about cars that I ever hope to learn.

Lots of stuff happening this week. And I probably won't have time to write about it too much either, as the job is going to be kicking my ass all the way till the weekend. Hopefully I can get the steering wheel adapter from Jeremy, as he called me today saying that he was almost finished with it.
I did win a VDO Oil Pressure gauge on eBay, so thats something good. I also should be getting the fuel pump anytime now. The Flex a Lite sandwich adapter came in, but its the wrong one. Hopefully I can get it all straightened out soon.

Today the day was spent mostly by looking on info about the oil filter relocation kit. All in itself its not that big of a deal, but I did find a couple of good ideas of what to do, what not to do. So the battery will go in the trunk, as it frees up the room up front for the FMIC piping, but it also lets me use that same are to install the oil relocation filter. I will also want to get an oil cooler, but installing it will be a lot easier once the remote oil filter is in place.
The lines are going to go from the motor, to the oil filter relocation kit, than to oil cooler than back in. Only 1 additional line is needed once you have the relocation kit, to install the cooler, making it the total of three. I will also have a lot more oil in the system. 1extra quart in the Greddy pan, and probably as much in the relocation kit, as I am thinking about going with dual filter system.

The Greddy Oil Pan just came in. And I have to say that it looks great. With any luck the fuel pump will come in tomorrow. Either way, it looks like this is going to be one of the best weekends in a while.
On a side note: I have been talking to some people about CDL driver license, and they are so nice as to help me out to get it. To take the driving test, you need your own semi, which is something not every Joe Average has, well they do, and they don't mind helping me learn how to drive it, and than let me use it to take the test. Sweeeeetnessssss!!!!!!!! I just got to get the book and past the written part first. But that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Found a killer deal on Greddy's Oil pan for SR20DET! Pretty much made my week! After looking at the bank accounts, I should have most of the stuff in a month or so, which makes me also breathe a lot easier. It looks like I will hold off with the HKS BOV till next payday, which is not really a big problem. The fuel pump will be shipped out on Tuesday, and if PayPal starts working again, so will the Oil Pan. But I think that they want to mess up my deal on purpose. Damn YOU PayPal!!
On a side note, the hole for the oil temp sender in the Greddy's oil pan is 1/8 NPT, which is actually better for me, as the sender is a little bit cheaper in that size
This probably wouldn't affect the people with Autometer gauges, as they come with that size senders and fittings to make them fit into bigger holes as needed. But VDO offers different senders, this one being the smallest and cheapest @ only $6.
So this checks available funds are gone. Next check it will be the HKS BOV and Optima Yellow top. With the money I make on the side, its going to be the VDO gauges and senders that I am missing. Ahh, how exciting. All the pieces are coming together.
I just noticed it has been just over 4 months since I got my chassis. It's amazing how fast the time files when you're working you butt off.
Got to go to work, its that time again.

I decided to get another MOMO steering wheel. The guy is too flaky to count on him. I see a couple of nice ones for under 50bux shipped, some are Nardi or Personal, but those will work with my hub too, so it doesn't matter that much. I also ordered the Walbro fuel pump, so it should be here by next weekend. After I install it, its going to be time to get the HKS BOV kit. But there isn't all that much left to get as far as the big items go. I almost have all the money needed for the swap, so hopefully in a month or so, I should be ready to do it.
I also started ordering a lot of stuff for some people around here that want stuff form eBay, and charging them a little for it, so that cash has helped to speed up the progress of this project. Next week I will be getting some crazy overtime, week after that, there is going to be one or two nights that I will have to show up (more overtime) plus a crazy Friday night work-a-thon hehe. So that check should be pretty nice too.

I got my MOMO hub in today. Its a easy install, (1 Nut) and it uses the stock horn wiring too, so it makes me happy. But I don't like the steering wheel, so I am going to hunt down another one.
